For many small parts vendors and manufacturers, managing a small parts inventory can be messy, inaccurate and a hindrance to manufacturer’s operations. Traditionally, Vendor Managed Inventories (VMIs) required a team with hand-held scanners or clipboards to manually track inventory – not anymore.

Print

Using an RFID printer, product labels are printed based on ShelfAware’s real-time inventory database. This is triggered when any items fall below the established shelf quantity.

Place

Small parts vendors already label bagged product – so we simply improved an existing practice by placing an RFID tag on the back of the product label.

Scan

The end user will simply scan the RFID tag across a complimentary check out table to instantly account for the use of that product in the real-time inventory management system.
